Some Questions We Asked:

How did your husband’s ED affect your marriage?
You not only avoid kissing, hugging, cuddling—anything that would lead to sex. You even stop looking at each other. It definitely separated us. Our relationship changed, and we even ended up in marriage counseling.

How did your husband’s ED affect your life?
As Tom went through the progression of the ED and the different things we tried, I sank into a depression as well. I blamed myself. I thought that I wasn’t pretty enough. It even crossed my mind that maybe there’s someone else.

How did you start the conversation about getting an implant?
I own a nail salon, and I hold hands with women every day for an hour and we talk about our husbands and our children. One of my clients told me that her husband had the implant done and that it gave them back their intimacy. And they seemed very happy. So when Tom came home that day from work, I said, “I’ve got great news for you, and I’ve already made an appointment with the doctor.”

How do you feel about your husband’s implant?
It was natural. It was the most natural thing that we have done. And it’s easy. There’s no downtime. Actually, the best thing is the uptime!
